I have stayed in this hotel on many trips to India. It has always been my favourite. Since my last visit in 2018, oh how things have changed. On arriving, I noticed most of the lobby lights were off and it was very dark, and no air conditioning. This is a tropical place and the a/c is important. The person behind the desk seemed uninterested in greeting and was lacking warmth and a smile. This was saved by Mr Sreenivasen, the GM who was the opposite. He was smiling and welcoming. This man is a true testament to good hotel service. My room was on the second floor and was nicely cool. The hallway leading to it, once again, was dark with stained carpet tiles. The room was comfortable but tired and in need of maintenance. The food, on the other hand, was great. The restaurant tables and chairs were not so good and stained and dirty. The internet WiFi, usually reliable and fast was sadly lacking and kept cutting out. Overall, this hotel is not even close to what it used to be, but still has the "bones" of a really top class hotel. I hope the owner can do something to restore this wonderful place to where is was 2 years ago. My special thanks to Mr Sreeivasen, who made my stay worthwhile with his grace and manners and ever present smile.

Horrible Charges for the provided facilities - Never recommended.

May be a good place of yesteryears since saw some good reviews too here and there hence took the place. But currently not even a shadow of the legacy whatever was there in the reviews. As a customer I am also ready to pay that extra amounts if the facilities are good. Here the charges were extremely high for the services/facilities provided. The requirement was just for an extended day time (6 am – 8pm) and no overnight one and the charges were 3200/-. The place was taken only for freshening up and for hardly 2-3 hrs in the morning and an hour in the evening and they had enough rooms vacant. The room was not at all cleaned while I came back in the evening (Images Attached). Room was badly lighted so as the washroom. The staff member who helped in checking in the morning told us that he will come back on the rates when we complained on the rates after seeing the room. But once when we checked with the person who came for the day duty, he was fully offensive and told the rates are irrevocable. The overall experience was bad and the style of conversation and the behaviour too, to spoil your whole day. Never recommend based on my personal experience and if you are getting a deal in any travel site at around 1500/- fair enough.

Property is average, room is good with minimum facilities and amenities. Food I had from the restaurant was buffet. The spread was matching with the cost and was not tasty as Kannur is very famous for tasty and variety foods. The hotel is very centrally located and the proximity to various important locations very easy.

Hotel is average and acceptable for a quick stay. Room is comfortable with minimum facilities and amenities. I had a buffet lunch from the restaurant. spread is matching with the cost. Proximity is good and its in the central city.

Lunch buffet is good.cutlery and decor is a bit worn out. Service is good.Central Avenue is the ideal place in kannur if you are looking for a quiet place to eat out.It is easily accessible as its within the city. Has a good car park.
